This course will teach you the knowledge and skills required to assist Dentists and Dental Hygienists as a Dental Assistant.

Upon completion of this course, you will be issued with a HLT35021 Certificate III in Dental Assisting by Foundation Education (RTO: 22557).
There is a work placement requirement for this course. Students need to gain access to a dental practice and a qualified supervisor i.e. a person who holds Certificate III in Dental Assisting or a higher relevant qualification. The institution can assist you in organising this.
Students may need to undertake a Working with Children check to meet individual work placement employer requirements.

Prerequisite & Entry Criteria
- Parent or Guardian approval for students under the age of 18
- Permanent Australian Resident or equivalent
- Mandatory work placement
- Computer: Laptop or desktop computer with working speakers or headphone points
- Internet: High-speed internet such as Broadband or ADSL, T1/T2, fibre optic (Dial-up access is not recommended)
- Windows: Operating system – Windows 8 or above
- Internet Browser: Google Chrome, Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer 11
- MAC: Operating system – OS X 10.14 Mojave or later
- Software: Flash, Adobe Reader, Microsoft Word (or Open Office which is free to download)

*Payment plan total is $100 deposit + 78 weekly payments. Foundation Education uses the direct debiting services of Debitsuccess on payment plans.
