This course focuses on assisting physiotherapists and occupational therapists, providing you with the skills to support patient rehabilitation and mobility. You’ll gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Upon completion, you’ll be issued with the HLT43021 Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Focus) from Foundation Education (RTO: 22557). A mandatory work placement is included.

Prerequisite & Entry Criteria

  • Age: 18+ (or parental/guardian approval if under 18)
  • Residency: Permanent Australian Resident or equivalent
  • Education: No formal entry requirements
  • Pre-screening: LLN assessment required prior to enrolment
  • Work Placement: 120 hours of mandatory placement in physiotherapy or occupational therapy settings
  • Technology: Laptop or desktop computer (Windows 8+ or OS X 10.14+), broadband internet
  • Software: Flash, Adobe Reader, Microsoft Word/Open Office
  • Physical Capabilities: Manual handling tasks required; vaccinations or medical exemptions may be necessary
  • External Requirements: HLTAID011 Provide First Aid must be completed externally
  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): Available for relevant skills and experience
