Holmesglen’s Certificate IV in Travel and Tourism is a 27-week remote program conducted in a virtual classroom, providing the knowledge and skills necessary for diverse roles in the travel and tourism industry. Embark on a career in the dynamic travel and tourism industry with industry-specialist teachers guiding you through the course. Holmesglen provides industry-standard software for live airline reservations, using the renowned Amadeus system for fares and ticketing. Your virtual classroom training includes exploring global destinations, selling tourism products (including cruising), and delivering exceptional customer service.

To enroll, students must be a minimum of 16 years old. They should possess a mature attitude, effective communication skills, strong organizational and technical abilities, a willingness to engage with customers face-to-face, professional appearance, and the capacity to perform well under pressure in a team setting. Additionally, participants must have adequate computer skills for interaction during scheduled virtual classroom sessions using WebEx.
To successfully engage in this remote learning program conducted in a virtual classroom, students must have a computer or laptop (less than 5 years old) equipped with a video conferencing camera and a stable high-speed broadband internet connection. Tablets are not suitable for this course.
Before commencing training, a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview will be conducted to determine suitability for the program, validate the training plan, and identify any learning support requirements. Recognition of prior learning allows students to potentially reduce the number of units required for their chosen course by assessing skills gained through work, life experiences, or formal education and training. Holmesglen acknowledges qualifications and statements of attainment issued by other registered training organizations.
