Prerequisite & Entry Criteria

Education

All applicants must be at least 17 years of age. Holmesglen also requires that all applicants possess the following abilities:

  • Turn on a computer.
  • Connect to the internet.
  • Use a mouse, keyboard, headset with a microphone or speakers, and a webcam.
  • Open and close a software application.
  • Conduct a search in a web browser.
  • Use webinar software to participate in remote learning.

 Resources Required

Applicants intending to learn remotely will require access to a PC computer or laptop with the following minimum specifications:

  • Quad-Core CPU
  • 16GB of RAM
  • CPU with a minimum 2 GHz processor or faster
  • 250GB of storage
  • Windows 10 OS, or virtual machine installed with Windows 10 OS (available free from
  • Headset with microphone (webcam optional but preferred)
  • Access to an internet connection

Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. Your digital literacy skills will be assessed in this interview.
