Job Outcomes

  • Allied Health Assistant: Assist health professionals in implementing therapeutic activities to improve patient outcomes.
  • Nutrition and Dietetics Assistant: Work directly with dietitians or nutritionists to implement patient care programs.
  • Therapy Assistant: Provide hands-on support under the direction of an Allied Health professional.

Prerequisite & Entry Criteria

Entry Requirements

  • Minimum Age: Parental or guardian approval required for students under 18.
  • Residency Status: Must be a permanent Australian resident or equivalent.
  • Language Skills: Adequate English literacy and communication skills.
  • Technology Requirements:
    • Desktop or laptop computer with speakers or headphones.
    • High-speed internet.
    • Windows 8 or later, or macOS Mojave (10.14) or later.
    • Compatible internet browser: Google Chrome or Firefox.
    • Software: Adobe Reader, Flash, and Microsoft Word (or Open Office).
  • Physical Capability: Ability to perform manual handling tasks.

  4. HLTAHA043 – Support the provision of basic nutritional advice and education.
  5. BSBMED303 – Maintain patient records.
  6. HLTAHA039 – Assist in the development of meals and menus to meet dietary and cultural requirements.
  7. CHCDIV001 – Work with diverse people.
  8. HLTAHA040 – Assist with the monitoring and modification of meals and menus according to individualised plans.
  9. HLTAHA041 – Support food services and dietetics in menu and meal order processing.
  10. HLTAHA047 – Engage with clinical supervision and delegation.
  11. BSBMED301 – Interpret and apply medical terminology appropriately.
  12. CHCCCS038 – Facilitate the empowerment of people receiving support.

Please note: This is a fee-for-service program.

*Payment plan total is $100 deposit + 78 weekly payments. Foundation Education uses the direct debiting services of Debitsuccess on payment plans. Payment plans will incur a $12 establishment fee, charged with the first instalment, plus a 3.63% transaction fee on each transaction. Weekly payment amount provided is already inclusive of the transaction fee.
