If you are looking to get started in the Fitness industry this is the course for you. The Certificate III in Fitness by AIPT will give you the required skills and knowledge to work as a Group Exercise Instructor or a Gym Instructor.

Topics covered in this fitness course include providing fitness orientations, instructing fitness programs and much more.

At the completion of this course, you will be issued with a SIS30315 Certificate III in Fitness by Australian Institute of Personal Training (RTO: 32363).

Prerequisite & Entry Criteria

  • Parent or Guardian approval for students under the age of 18
  • Completion of Year 10 or equivalent
  • Permanent Australian Resident or equivalent
  • Access to computing and internet
  • Mandatory work placement
  • Completion of Year 10 or equivalent
  • First aid (HLTAID003)
  • Working with Children Check

  • SISXIND001 Work effectively in sport, fitness and recreation environments
  • SISFFIT002 Recognise and apply exercise considerations for specific
  • populations
  • SISFFIT014 Instruct exercise to older clients
  • SISFFIT012 Instruct movement programs to children aged 5 to 12 years

Group Exercise Instructor:

  • SISFFIT011 Instruct approved community fitness program
  • SISFFIT007 Instruct group exercise sessions
  • HLTWHS001 Participate in workplace health and safety
  • BSBRSK401 Identify risk and apply risk management processes

Gym Instructor:

  • SISXCCS003 Address client needs
  • SISFFIT024 Instruct endurance programs
  • HLTWHS001 Participate in workplace health and safety
  • BSBRSK401 Identify risk and apply risk management processes

– Practical of 30 hours is required
